Masino Intaray is a specialist in numerous indigenous Palawan musical instruments such as the basal (gong), aroding (mouth harp), and babarak (ring flute), as well as kulilal (songs) and bagit (vocal music)

WHAT IS BASAL (GONG)?

Basal (gong) A set of one or two large gongs, agung, and two little ringed gongs, sanang, hang from the wall plates, while the drum, gimbal, sits on the lateral platform, ready to be played, mostly at twilight and at night.

WHAT IS ARUDING (MOUTH HARP)?

The Aruding (Mouth Harp) is a traditional musical instrument composed of various materials such as wood, horn, and bone.

WHAT IS BABARAK (RING FLUTE)?

Babarak (Ring flute) refers to end-blown flutes having a rig wrapped around the hole at the flute's blowing end. The ring is often fashioned of a ratan strip.
